I bought the Gemini SL from eBay and took it to a club fitter to get fit for a shaft. I ended up choosing a UST Proforce 65 cut down to 44'. So far I'm very pleased with the club. It goes long, high and straight.
I've had to re-jig my short game as I've been used to coming into the greens with 4 and 5 irons and now it's 8's and 9's. No cracks yet, and I know that since I bought it online I'll be out of luck if it does, but I'm hoping that with my slow swing speed, I'll be ok. I would definitely recommend this club to someone who's given up hitting driver because they can't keep it on the fairway. I've now played over 30 rounds and practiced many times at the range with the replacement club and have had no problems.
I stay off the range mats now, also. His advice to stop practicing on those hard mats and correcting my attack angle, increased my distance by 15-20 yards! And, no more cracks, just longer, straighter drives and better scoring! It's the best $350.00 I ever spent on a driver! It is straight and long and great on mis-hits!
